    I think I have Cyclothymia because since 2021 I've been having Hypomanic symptoms and then just- depression. When i was younger a mostly experienced Hypomania but more recently I've been experiencing short periods of depression. I just thought I was depressed and my ADHD was being weird but i could have Cyclothymia and my Mum does have Bipolar II and it definitely would make sense for me or my siblings to have a mood disorder or be neurodivergent I'm still 99.99% sure i have Cyclothymia and at first I looked in to Bipolar and was like "OH GOD-" then I looked in to Cyclothymia and was like "Nvm- wait." But I've been very emotional the past 2 years and everyone is like "GeT oVeR iT yoUr fAkInG HaVInG ADHD aNd whAtEvER cRap YOu hAve FOr aTTEnTIOn" but... If I'm doing it for attention... WHERE'S THE ATTENTION??? 😃 Anyways i honestly do think i could have Cyclothymia and i can't really explain everything but- yeahhhh..... 🙂

    This video vastly over-represents the efficacy of Lithium Carbonate. It is useful for only one in seven sufferers of Bipolar disorder. Moreover as you point out in detailing side-effects it varies between highly toxic to highly destructive. If it was developed currently it would never get past the FDA. Persistent use destroys the kidneys, breaks down the liver and negates the memory and personality. I should know - I have been on it nearly twenty years and my memory is like a sieve and it used to be extraordinary. I also feel I am only a fraction of the person I used to be. Use it at your peril!

    Nice video. Never stop medication abruptly but taper off gradually in 2-3 months after medical guidance. As much as possible avoid Alprazolam and benzodiazepines as they are habit forming. To feel better reduce overthinking negative thoughts. Be careful what you feed your mind. Avoid comparing yourself with others, avoid storing bottled up emotions, reduce watching negative social media and avoid constipation as it affects the mind. Your breathing is closely related to the brain [mind] and gives relief from stress and overthinking. For a relaxed mind observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils and within the nostrils for 10-15 minutes or more. You can sit on a chair or lay down anywhere, be as still as possible, eyes closed but no deep breathing. Don’t fight your thoughts. Make it a lifetime habit to observe your breath before sleep, when travelling, when reading, at the workplace etc, if needed with eyes open. Best wishes--Counsellor.

    That's funny! When I was in college (1993) I had an exam on this stuff and decided I'd just draw it out on a graph exactly like this. I'm sure many others have done it but I hadn't seen it. I felt I was being creative but wasn't sure if my professor would be accepting. We're all nerds so he loved it! lol. Thanks for sharing.

    Entering(submersion 3 times with a certain prayer and crossing yourself) in water springs of orthodox saints (which are near or in monasteries)give very much power and sureness to people with depression, panic attacks, schizofrenia and other soul illnesses (which are inherited or from sins) till the day of eucharisty which heals all soul illnesses. There are some springs of mother of God Maria that heal soul illnesses. If you have misfortune, illnesses, impotence , you can have a dialog only with the same person ( in the purpose of making a relationship) or you can have with no one a dialog etc. it may be from sorcery spells. In Zlatari church in Bucharest (Romania) in every Wednesday there is read by the priest an acathist to st. Ciprian and st. Justine from sorcery spells, curses and all demons deeds. This prayer can be ordered in any other orthodox church if you are baptised orthodox, you have to write your name as you were baptised also the name of the prayer to be read by the priest and the date when it should be read and give it to the person in charge, ordinarily he/she is located in the church at a special stand near the entrance.

    Please research Robert Whitaker before taking any antidepressant medication. He was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in his work on the subject. Antidepressants can work up to three or four years and then you’re worse off than you were and dependent on medication and now with side effects. His evidence based medicine research is world renowned and published. He has two books. ‘Anatomy of an epidemic’, and ‘mad in America’. Please read and be informed before doing this to your brain and body.

    Thank you for this video :) I do have a question that popped in my head thoough.. You mentioned that Behavioral science is particularly limited to people. So I was thinking, what about ANIMALS? There are studies done on animal behavior too right? Then I checked Google. Which said: "The study of nonhuman animals has actually played a huge role in psychology, and it continues to do so today." So would animal psychology study be in category two or three?

    Psychology is a social science. But psychology interacts with all other sciences and give birth to new fields, For example, Biopsychology, Consumer psychology, Engineering psychology etc. This interaction makes Psychology an interdisciplinary science. Please scale my opinion.

    NDRIs and NDRAs with a significant dopaminergic component will probably never be used to treat depression. They are too similar to drugs of abuse like amphetamine and cocaine and come with the same associated risks - an altered mental state, tolerance development and addiction, increased risk of psychosis. In prolonged use: anhedonia.

    • @eminaalihodzic6478
      @eminaalihodzic6478 Рік тому

      That’s not true. Why is Wellbutrin used for depression and it’s a NDRI.

    • @Psychx_
      @Psychx_ Рік тому

      @@eminaalihodzic6478 Wellbutrin (Bupropion) does not have a significant dopaminergic component. It's main mechanism of action is norepinephrine reuptake inhibition, while it's action as a DRI is comparatively minor - same goes for Venlafaxine (which despite this still has some reported incidents of patients snorting it or overdosing it on purpose in order to get high). Medications with the main focus on Dopamine reuptake inhibition have already been researched since the 60s/70s. Most of them didn't even finish their development cycles/approval studies, while others were retracted from the market again, due to having a significant abuse potential, and other unwanted side effects (i.e. Amineptine). With this mechanism of action, you're basically creating substances with effects similar to Amphetamine, Methamphetamine and Cocaine and you're also leaving the territory of mechanisms suitable for treating depression. The next best thing (Modafinil, a weak, selective DRI) is used to mitigate cognitive symptoms and promote wakefulness in patients with dementia, which is already a totally different indication.
